PeerSounds: Social Sounds for Peer Education 01/12/2011 - 14:00 - 15:00
This session aimed to introduce attendees to how digital technology applications have changed music education, creation and production. Participants have been able to benefit from the presentation/demonstration of new software for music production and new tools for collaborative creation of music products and the inttroduction how tehese software cab be applied in music aschool education and contexts.

This event was targeting education and IT policymakers as well as profiles within the education and music industry sectors. Attendees included key names in both sectors. The event focused on how the need for music education is changing, taking into account today’s predominate use of computers and the web in music production.

The aim of this event was to introduce Netsounds and its potential to educators and staff at the Malmö Academy of Music (Malmö Musikhögskola). Much attention was focused on the web portal and its main attractions: the Good Practices, the Repository, the Web 2.0 Network area, the Make Music area and the Tools.

The French Ministère de l’Education has organised by this last quarter of 2011 a regional research around the preparation to vocational training lessons in public schools for the new school year 2011/2012. Out of the 30 national academies, academy of Bordeaux has been chosen to hold the first training of this type. This seminar happened in the public college of Agen (2nd degree), handled by the Bordeaux academic responsible, on October 7, 2011.
