Summary

Conservatoire de Villecresnes introduced music on computer in workshop dedicated to older teenager students which already acquired basic knowledge in music theory. This workshop is considered as a continuation for traditional theory music course and plan to initiate students to composition and arrangement on computer.

Objectives

Acquisition of basic knowledge in musical creation and arrangement.

Methods

Introducing functions of Cubase DAW and notation software, and construction of common musical composition experiences.

Activities

Students are supposed to create music to be performed in live students concerts.

Added value

The use of dedicated to music software as a continuation in theory conventional course gives a new approach in first steps in composition.
